About Camp Mataguay

Mataguay Scout Ranch is an 840-acre property owned and operated by the
San Diego - Imperial Council of the Boy Scouts of America. The camp was
initially acquired in 1956 and has been expanded upon since.
The reservation features multiple camp facilities and is capable of hosting
1500 campers or more at a time. Throughout the year, the facility is used by Scouts
as well as by outside organizations, including YMCA, YWCA, the Royal Rangers,
Sheriff's and FBI SWAT groups, and World War II and Civil War reenactment groups.

Mataguay also features a number of activities and facilities such as
shooting sports (rifle, shotgun, BB), archery, water sports (canoeing),
a full COPE course (Challenging Outdoor Personal Experience course), and more.

Located right off of Hwy 79, near Warner Springs and east of Lake Henshaw, Mataguay hosts year-round weekend camping as well as weekly summer camps for Scouts.

Alpha Phi Omega will be mainly using the Retreat Center areas,
featuring cabins that can house up to 120 individuals
as well as a kitchen and dining hall for breakfast and meetings.

We will also be using facilities around the Parker Lake and Dining Hall
where individuals will be able to enjoy lunch and dinner as well as
participate in activities such as canoeing, archery, and the rifle range (as available).
All shooting activities will be run by a certified volunteer rangemaster!

If you happen to be a NRA-certified rangemaster or a certified lifeguard,
please let us know if you can help us out!
